Junction - The Highway Interchange of Japan
Photographer Ken Ohyama (Oyama) opens our eyes to the under appreciated architecture and engineering feats of today’s modern highway interchanges.
Although they are a complex series of roads when looked from afar and breathtakingly powerful when viewed up close, we often ignore these modern mysteries of marvel as part of the back ground in our fast paced lifestyles. This photobook allows us to see these structures through Ken’s eyes utilizing slow shutter speeds, filter effects and lighting that gives highways an almost dream like appearance.
Additionally, he writes down the various locations that he photographs these scenes from, maybe even coaxing you to come to that exact spot to experience this view with your own eyes.
Whether taken at night, at the break of dawn, or from the sky, we’re sure that you’ll grow a new appreciation for the masterpiece of the highway.
Talented photographer Ken Ohyama (Oyama) shows you images you’ve never before seen, the incredible freeways and sprawling overpasses seen in Japan, a true feat of engineering that few countries have achieved.
